On the eve of April 3, Internacional beat Rio Branco-AC by 2 goals to 0, at Arena da Floresta, in a Brazil Cup debut match. Caio and Forlán, off a penalty, scored the two goals that ensured an early place in Acre.

Following a complicated first half with few chances at goal, Inter came back for the final half focused on the only result of interest. In the 17th minute, Caio came on for Rafael Moura and changed the tone of the match. The striker’s star began to shine from his opening play. In the 18th minute, Forlán took a free kick towards the penalty area, Juan deflected it off the head and Caio picked up the loose ball, sending it rocketing into the back of the net. 1 - 0! And his second goal for Inter. In the 23rd minute, Caio almost managed a second goal off a toe punt from the penalty area that passed dangerously close to the goal.

Inter was having a better second half, taxing the opposition's defense in its quest for another goal. In the 34 minute, Forlán tried from far, but the ball passed over the backline harmlessly. In the 42nd minute, Caio tried for the right corner of the goal, Douglas, however, got a hand to it, making a great save.

Colorado’s insistence paid off in the 47th minute, when Caio was knocked down by goalkeeper Douglas. A clear penalty! Forlán took the penalty with class, scoring the second goal that ensures early classification for the next stage of the Brazil Cup.
