Members from a FIFA commission inspected Beira-Rio on April 26th. A tour through the modernization works, the current progress, the established schedule and the goals already achieved were presented at the president’s office to FIFA's stadiums special consultant, Charles Botta. Botta’s last visit had been in August 2012 and he was pleased to see the works progress at Beira-Rio. “I am really satisfied with the Stadium’s modernization works progress. Inter should be congratulated,” said Botta. Stadiums general manager, Roberto Sivieri, Stadiums special consultants, Fábio Carvalho and Carlos de La Corte, were also present.

Besides directors from Internacional and Andrade Gutierrez, Secopa (State Secretary for the World Cup), State Government and Porto Alegre City Hall representatives also took part in the technical visit.
