With exactly one year to go before the start of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, this Wednesday, June 12, Internacional is launching the microsite Gigante Para Sempre (A Giant For Eever) – www.internacional.com.br/giganteparasempre. The microsite offers a 360° virtual tour through the new and modernized Beira-Rio stadium, showing details of the stage of five World Cup matches, four in the eliminatory phase and one in the round of sixteen.

Gigante Para Sempre microsite provides new Beira-Rio experience

By means of a ‘virtual scale model’, with intuitive navigation, browsers visitors can take a tour of the six levels of the stadium, reaching up to the roof. Forty-seven sectors have been mapped, each containing basic information about the facilities: pitch, changing rooms, bench dugouts, grandstands, restrooms, restaurants, skyboxes and even details of the modern membrane set to cover Gigante, are all available through a few simple clicks.

360° view

To the delight of Colorados, the microsite also offers a virtual tour that provides a sense of actually being inside Beira-Rio. There are 70 points with a 360° view spread throughout the stadium. For example, visitors can try the view from the center of the pitch, from different points of the upper and lower grandstands, suites and skyboxes.

Time-lapse

Before actually accessing the Gigante Para Sempre microsite, browsers are shown a time-lapse animation of the history of the Colorado home. It shows everything from the initial Guaíba landfill, to the construction of the stadium and the current works, with the complete modernization process.

General Information

Through the menu, it is also possible to find more details on the project transforming Beira-Rio – a list of FAQs, as well as photo and video galleries and all the latest news on the works. High resolution photos are also provided to the press.
