The club's delegation started working early in the morning. It was Thursday night in Brazil when the players spent 30 minutes at the gym. Shortly afterwards, they proceeded to Nishigaoka Stadium, where physical training was conducted by fitness coach Paulo Paixão. The only players to have actually played with the ball were keepers Clemer, Renan, and Marcelo Boeck.
Centre-back Índio told us his first impressions about the first day of work in Japan. "It has finally sunk in now that we have arrived here. Now we know what this tournament means. There has been lots of preparation for us to be here today," he said.

President Fernando Carvalho attended the training session on the side line and pointed out that Inter are working hard to face their opposition. "On Sunday we will know who our future opponents will be, we are getting ready in earnest. This is the most important competition in the club's history, but nothing will deter us, we have our feet on the ground, we are attentive and seeking our greatest objective," affirmed the President shortly before the training session.

In the afternoon (still the wee hours in Brazil), Fernando Carvalho, Clemer, Fernandão, Iarley and Abel Braga participated in a press conference organised by FIFA. Later on, Abel conducted the first tactical training session on Japanese soil, also at Nishigaoka Stadium.
Wind chill temperature in the Japanese capital ranges around 10º C, and Tokyo locals believe this winter has been quite generous, without very low temperatures such as in past seasons. On Saturday early morning, Inter will train full-time again.
